Local business owner selected as finalist for $1,000 small business grant from ideacafe.com

Gazelle Simmons of Admin Services has been selected from 720 applicants as one of 30 finalists to receive a $1,000.00 small business grant from Idea Cafe.com, a top-rated website for small business. The winner will be determined by vote and announced online on June 24.

Being in business since 1998 as a Virtual Assistant, Vice President of Women Business Owners, a Hurricane Katrina survivor, recent author of two books and founder of two networking groups in Newnan, all contributed to Ms. Simmons being selected.

Admin Services specializes in data entry, presentations, word processing, database management, editing and proofreading, mass mailings, thesis and manuscript processing as well as a host of clerical and secretarial services for small business owners, independent contractors, website owners, financial advisors, photographers, realtors, writers and individuals looking for administrative assistance.

Women Business Owners is an international 501c3 organization, founded in 2004. The organization provides education and support for women business owners throughout the world with online and offline educational resources, classes, workshops, mentoring, seminars, networking and referrals.

Votes are being accepted until midnight Pacific Time, Sunday, June 22, 2008. There is no charge to sign up and/or vote but voters will receive Idea Cafe's "Biz Tips" newsletter twice a month. Each voter can cast just one vote.
