The Friends of the Fayette County Public Library will their first book sale of the year today from 9 am to 4 pm at the Fayette County Library. Over 8,000 gently read books in 22 categories will be on sale at bargain prices. Paperbacks generally sell for $.50 while hardbacks range from $1 to $5. In addition, this sale features children’s videos, books on tape and computer books. Proceeds from the book sale help support many programs at the library, including Summer Reading Clubs, Baby Story Time, children’s craft programs, the hosting of well-known authors as well as the purchase of books, videos and CDs.
