Government schools getting what you pay forTue, 06/17/2008 - 3:36pm

Steve Brown’s recent letter about the circling of the drain by our school systems got my gremlins going, so I did a little research. A recent UNICEF study ranked the U.S. 18th out of 24 developed nations in the quality of our school systems. There was a 71 percent decline in SAT scores from 1960 to 1994. Our 2003 math rank: 22nd in the world behind number 21 Russia. Our 2003 physics rank: 13th in the world behind number 12 Austria. Why? You might want to ask yourself why our entire culture is utterly saturated with mass media entertainment from all sides, while the educational system in America continues its stupefying downward slide since the U.S. government decided to take over and subsidize the public school system: What the government pays for, it gets! When we understand that, then we look at government financed institutions of education, and see the kind of students, the kind of education that they are turning out of these schools. Logic will tell you that if what is being turned out at these schools is not in accord with what the state and federal government want, then they would change it. The bottom line is that the government is getting what it has ordered. They do not want your children to be educated. They do not want you to think too much. That is why our country and our world has become so polluted with mass media, TV shows, amusement parks, drugs, alcohol, and every other form of distraction to keep the human mind entertained, so that you don’t get in the way of important people by doing too much thinking. You had better wake up and understand that there are people who are guiding your life and you don’t even know it. Less than 2 percent of us read books, and less than 11 percent read newspapers. Right now there are five generations who don’t know anything that didn’t come out of a television tube. The TV makes and breaks presidents, popes, and prime ministers. It is the most awesome force in this whole godless world, and — God help us — it has fallen into evil hands. Propaganda is peddled as truth on a constant basis. This is not surprising when you realize that top defense contractors own most of the mass media. GE is just one example: they own NBC. Rupert Murdoch, who is pro-neoconservative, owns FOX News, so forget “fair and balanced.” Television is not the truth; it’s a circus, a carnival, a freak show that struts and frets its hour upon the stage; it’s tales are told by idiots full of sound and fury, but signify nothing. The problem is that the children believe the fantasy, and that their own lives are unreal. The problem is that parents have given their parenting duties over to Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Beyonce, and Britney Spears, and that’s just what our masters want. The last thing the rulers of this world want is a conscious informed public capable of critical thinking. That is why continually fraudulent information is put out via religion, the mass media, and the educational system. They seek to keep you in a distracted naive bubble, and they are doing a good job of it. Google Lou Dobbs, North American Union and watch the video. We are nearing the endgame, folks, and we cannot afford another Bush Administration. If you vote for Obama, or McCain, that’s what you’ll get. Write in Ron Paul. The neo-nazervatives have got to go.
