Four elementary schools were well represented at the Peachtree City Combined fifth grade band concert at Booth Middle School last month. The Booth Jazz Band showed the younger students what they have to look forward to. The elementary schools included Crabapple Lane, conductor Jennifer Brinson; Huddleston, conductor Jennifer Brinson; Kedron, conductor Mitchell Birnbaum; and Peachtree City Elementary, conductor Leslie Minor.

More than 130 students participated. Each band represented their schools with a short band selection and then all the students performed together as one large group on “Bold Adventure,” “Clarinet Blues,” “Power Rock” and “When The Saints Go Marching In.”

The jazz band at Booth Middle School concluded the concert with Robert Burton conducting several upbeat jazz pieces.

School administrators, parents, faculty and friends helped make this an exciting and successful event. Also, Barbara Baker, director of bands at McIntosh High School, introduced the concert and welcomed the excited audience.
