• Wallace graduates with honors
Karen Denise Wallace of Fayetteville graduated summa cum laude from the University of West Georgia on May 10, earning a master’s degree in middle grades education. She is a 2003 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia, and is the daughter of Kenny and Nancy Wallace of Fayetteville.

• Dudley named to dean’s list
Benjamin Dudley, son of Dan and Brenda Dudley of Fayetteville, Ga., has been named to the dean’s list for outstanding academic performance at DeVry University during the fall 2007 semester. In order to be named to the dean’s list, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Dudley is a 2005 graduate of Fayette County High School.

• Locals named to ABAC dean’s list
A total of 265 students were named to the 2008 spring term dean’s list at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, according to an announcement by Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs Niles Reddick. Students on the dean’s list attained a minimum grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and carried at least 12 hours of academic work. Local students who made the dean’s list include Shelby M. Fisher of Fayetteville, Ga. and Kenneth G. Bragg III of Peachtree City, Ga.

• Cox named to high list
Maria Gardner Cox was named to the Episcopal High School high list, an academic honor roll, for the third quarter of the 2007-08 school year. She is a freshman and the daughter of Ray M. Cox and Isabell A. Gardner of Peachtree City, Ga. Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., is a coeducational boarding school that prepares students in grades 9-12 for college. This honor denotes an average of 90 or above in five or more academic courses for the quarter.
