Acute care services director named at Newnan Hospital

Piedmont Newnan Hospital has named Patricia “Pat” Johnson, RN director of acute care services. As director of acute care services, Johnson is responsible for overseeing 61 acute care beds including orthopedics, medical and surgical units.

Johnson has been employed with Piedmont Newnan Hospital for the last 16 years where she has held various leadership positions. In 2003 she was promoted to an Administrative Supervisor position full time.

“Pat is a great asset to the Piedmont Newnan family,” said Peggie Lawson, vice president of patient care services. “She has been a dedicated nurse and leader for more than 30 years, and we are pleased to have her lead our acute care services.”

Previously, Johnson was director of nursing in a 120-bed skilled care facility in Clovis, New Mexico. She developed and taught community health and wellness classes as well as certified nursing assistant classes in New Mexico.

Johnson and her family reside in Newnan.
