Joey Lewis, a Starr’s Mill graduate and designated hitter for the University of Georgia Bulldogs, was 1-for-2 with a two run home run in the decisive third game against the NC State Wolfpack in last weekend’s super regionals. Lewis also homered in the first game against NC State and drove in a run in the second game, giving him five RBIs for the series.

Lewis is hitting .243 this season with six home runs, 31 RBIs and 43 hits.

The Bulldogs open the College World Series on Saturday against Miami.
