The SouthSide Pioneers competed at the 2008 AAU Georgia District Championships at Our of Lady of Mercy Catholic High School last weekend and did very well.

Thirty nine athletes competed for the Pioneers and 17 of them placed between first and third in the meet. Those who finished in the top eight qualified for the 2008 AAU Region 3B Championship, which will take place at Our Lady of Mercy next weekend.

SSPioneers Overall Team Rankings by Age Divisions:
*Youth Girls placed 10th overall in the meet with 16 points.

*Intermediate Girls placed 9th overall in the meet with 27 points.

*Intermediate Boys Division placed 9th over all in the meet with 29 pts.
