Fayette County High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members are working hard to save premature babies, and the FBLA national community project has taken a front seat in Fayette County FBLA members' hearts.

Students created the Baking for Babies fund-raiser to raise money for the March of Dimes. Every Wednesday in March, FBLA members held a bake sale during lunch to collect money. Cookies, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls and brownies were just a few of the items that were for sale.

Two "famous" FCHS bakers, Courtney Copeland and Major Smith, worked hard to create delicious goodies. Advisor Jennifer Metcalfe's computer applications classes also helped in this effort by designing March of Dimes PowerPoint presentations to play during the bake sale. In addition to selling goodies, FBLA students also sold baby blue March of Dimes T-shirts that were supplied by local businessman Steve McCullough of MAC TEE'S.

All of the profits from the bake sale and the T-shirts, a total of $625, were donated to the March of Dimes.
