Fayetteville police are investigating the armed robbery of the T.J. Maxx store at the Fayette Pavilion late Saturday night.

The store manager was accosted by two black males as she entered the store’s office just after 10 p.m., carrying with her money she had collected from the cash registers, police said.

The assailants pointed a gun at her and took the cash register money and also money from the store safe and taped the female manager to a chair, police said.

They then left the store through a rear door. One employee said they say four black males leaving the store after the incident, police said.

The two suspects from the office were described as black males with medium build, one being about 5-feet-6-inches tall and the other being about 5-feet-10-inches, police said. Both men wore scarves and hoods to obscure their faces, police said.

Detectives are actively working the case and pursuing leads. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441.
