Many of Fayette Middle School’s seventh and eighth grade chorus students were able to participate in a four day trip to Orlando, Fla. this spring. The Cub Chorus performed at the The MusicFest competition in Orlando. The Fayette Middle School Cub Chorus came in first place in the Junior High Choral Division.

Additionally, the chorus was also named Super Star Champion for the highest scores in the choral division, junior high and senior high combined. This was a first for Fayette Middle Chorus. Chorus director Risë Rudy stated that the students who performed provided the evidence of what hard work and dedication can achieve and she was proud of the their commitment to excellence in their art.

Fayette Middle School’s band, directed by Kevin Johnson and Jennifer Brinson, was also awarded first place in the Junior High Band Division and the school’s orchestra, directed by Saskia Chowdhuri, received first place in the Jr. High Orchestra Division.
