By: The Citizen
The Southern Crescent Chorale, one of our region's most valuable fine arts assets, is now holding auditions for the 2008-2009 season. Formed in 2002, the chorale is a highly regarded, 70-member vocal group under the direction of renowned choral director, Janice Folsom. Each season the enthusiasm for the chorale has grown as the chorale has performed before thousands of people at venues throughout the Southern Crescent. The chorale continues to be praised for the variety of literature they perform. They have appeared at Spivey Hall on four occasions and have been heard twice on Georgia Public Radio (WABE 90.1 FM). The group just performed a well received concert entitled “A New York State of Mind” at the Villages Amphitheater in Fayetteville. Anyone over the age of 18 years is invited to audition. The audition includes singing “America,” scales, tonal memory and sight reading. Auditions will be held in Fayetteville on selected days ending on June 9. Please call 770-716-1231 or email at infor@southerncrescentchorale.org to set up an audition appointment. login to post comments |
