Perfection has landed a Starr’s Mill High student a glowing national award.
Freshman Travis Richardson has been awarded the GLOW (German Language Opportunities Website) National German Achievement Award. He is one of about 100 high school students across the nation who were selected to receive the award this year.
The honorees were selected by each chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG). Travis was considered for the honor by the Georgia chapter after he made a perfect score on the National German Exam for German II.
Following an interview conducted in German by the AATG’s Testing and Awards Committee, chapter representatives voted unanimously to present the prestigious award to Travis.
As a GLOW award winner, he received a recognition certificate, a gift certificate, a one year subscription to “German World” magazine and placement of his name, school and teacher (Amanda Thompson) on the GLOWservice website, www.glowservice.net.
