Community sale held this weekend

The Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department will be holding the seventh annual Spring Yard Sale on Saturday, May 31 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bargain shoppers can visit over 50 yard sales in one location. This community-wide yard sale will be held at the Activities House parking lot at 980 Redwine Roadin Fayetteville, rain or shine. The Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department holds community yard sales bi-annually.

All vendors are local residents from Fayette and surrounding counties. Past sales have attracted bargain-hunters from Norcross to Macon, Locust Grove to Newnan, and everywhere in between.

Admission and parking are free for all bargain hunters. The Spring Yard Sale was originally scheduled for April 5, but was rescheduled due to severe weather. The eighth annual Harvest Yard Sale is tentatively scheduled for late October, with booth registration starting in late August.
