The key to any great summer is getting outside to enjoy the weather and fresh air, but you can’t be outside all the time. That’s where XPlayground in Peachtree City comes in. The gaming center boasts all types of gaming systems (Wii, PS3, XBox 360, etc.), pool tables, arcade games and a full restaurant. An all day pass to XPlayground this summer costs $20.

In addition to their every day offers of games and food, XPlayground also has “Movie Nite,” every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Admission is free to see a different new release every movie every week on the 146” screen. Owner Larry Justice will be donating 50% of all his sales on Tuesday nights to Michael Kattness, 35, a longtime resident of Peachtree City, who has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Kattness will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant later this summer.

X Playground continues to make changes and additions to what they offer. “Teen Nite” takes place every friday from 7 p.m.-midnight and costs $10 per person. Participants get to enjoy Wii, XBOX360, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Pool, Arcades, Board Games and more. “Open Mic Nite” takes place every Sunday at 6 p.m. and admission is free. The public is invited to see a showcase of stand-up, poetry, spoken word and acoustic music.

X Playground is also the place to go to watch all your Major League and International soccer. They are also now selling comics, figures, anime, shirts and collectibles and delivering their popular pizza.

When it gets too hot outside, cool down at one of Peachtree City’s coolest places.
