Hopewell United Methodist Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 9-13, from 6 - 8:30 p.m. The theme will be “Surfin’ Through the Scriptures at the Beach Party.” Hopewell usually offers VBS during the day and hopes to involve more parents and working adults by holding it at night. Registration is in progress with the goal of having all children registered by May 31. The church is at 351 Jenkins Rd., across from Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone. The Summit, June 16-20
Children ages 4 - 12 are invited to VBS at The Summit June 16-20, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. for a week filled with brown bag activities. The theme for VBS is “It’s In The Bag” and the brown bag is filled with fun. One activity spilling out of the bag is a watermelon seed spitting contest, part of the water day activities. Each day the bag will spill out more activities. A brown bag lunch is included daily for each child.
