Susannah Carol Halweg and Brian Thomas Spears were married Nov. 24, 2007, at an outdoor ceremony at the I’On Creek Club in Mount Pleasant, S.C. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Roger Halweg of Austin, Texas, and the granddaughter of Mrs. E. Fulton Hoover of Swansea, S.C. and the late Mr. Hoover, and Mrs. Roger Halweg of Preston, Minn., and the late Mr. Halweg. She is employed by the Medical College of Georgia Wellness Center in Augusta and is pursuing her M.B.A. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Spears of Peachtree City and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Thomas Morris of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Spears of Pilot Point, Texas. He is a second year medical student at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. The bride and groom are both graduates of Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, where they received their bachelor of science degrees in civil engineering and biomedical engineering, respectively. Jessica Parsons of Portland, Ore., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Kerri Fosse of Atlanta, Jennifer Lansing of Vienna, Va., Molly Sherman of Austin, Texas, and Jennifer LaBroad of Augusta. Serving as flower girl was Mikayla Orner of Aurora, Colo. Christopher Spears of Atlanta served as best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Andrew Spears of Peachtree City, Paul Halweg of Richmond, Va., Sam Crozier of Augusta and David Sauer of Warner Robins. Serving as ring bearer was Nathan Thomas of Highlands Ranch, Colo. The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and now reside in Augusta. login to post comments |
