The AFC Lightning '92 White ( U-14 ) girls soccer team, coached by Technical Director and Hall of Fame Coach, Dave “Chaddy” Chadwick continues its quest to become one of the top U-14 teams in the Country.

The team just concluded their fall season in the Georgia Youth Soccer Athena` A' Division going undefeated and thereby getting promoted to the prestigious and newly formed USYSA Regional Premier League for the spring season. They will compete with two other Georgia teams ; two teams from North Carolina ; two teams from South Carolina ; and four teams from Florida that will make up the 12 team league. The winning team in the Regional Premier League will automatically qualify for the USYSA- Regional championships to be played in Arkansas this June.

The AFC Lightning 92 White also just finished getting to the final four of the invitation only event sponsored by adidas, “The Disney Showcase” which was played at Disney World in Orlando Florida. The team won their very competitive division by beating clubs like Solar ( Texas ), 3 -2 and Colorado Rush Nike, 4 - 2.

Katrina Frost, National Pool Player, scored a hatrick against Colorado, and also scored against Solar along with goals coming from Carli Shultis and Erin Emerson. The team will take a much needed break before opening up their spring season with some friendlies in Jacksonville, Fla. over Jan. 21-22.

The AFC Lightning '89 White ( U-17 ) girls team had a great league season going 9-2-1 in the GYSA Athena ` A' Division coached by former professional player Vince Dattillo. They recently won the Prestigious 2005 Orange Classic Girls International Soccer tournament in Fort Lauderdale, Florida over Christmas break.

The U-17 AFC Lightning team played and won all five games, which made them tournament champions in their division. The Lightning played three preliminary games defeating Laurel Wildcats from Maryland, 3 - 1, defeating Lexington Futbol Club from Kentucky, 3 - 0, and defeating PWSI Courage from Virginia, 2 - 1. Lightning went on to defeat Futbol Club Frederick from Maryland, 2 - 0 in the semi-final. Then faced and defeated FC Texas in the championship game 3 - 1.

Goal scorers were Britney Vinning with two goals, Angie Jolly with four and Kate Walton with six.

The AFC Lightning ' 92 ( U-13 ) girls team also had a great season and finished up in the top four of the Athena ~ ` A' division. The team is coached by AFC Lightning staff coach and GK coach- Hope Handley. They also had a great showing in " The Disney Showcase " in Orlando, Fla. going.500 but playing teams from New York ( Briarcliff SC ); South Texas ( Longhorns SC ) and Florida ( Clearwater Chargers ).
