A debt ridden service economy!

We have no economy that is destined to survive! It is based upon "service," serving one another for exorbitant fees.

That sort of economy--not to mention paid for on credit--will not survive.

I personally do not know a soul who makes a living producing a real live, solid product that can be useful and sold! I know such people exist, but the fact that I don't know one shows their scarcity!

Those engaged in service have always been around of course. Somebody has to push pencils and paper (computers also, these days) but the ratio I think should be about 90-10, not 10-90, of productive to service, and vice-versa.

You are not going to get anyone currently in a "service" job to agree that we need to change back! Just as the old 10% service people used to be proud of their work, so are the 90% service people now. They aren't economists, and just want paid.

If it would work very long, there would be no problem. However it will not.

We have made a terrible mistake setting up such an economy, and the current energy problems are going to make the failure come much quicker.

Do you know anyone or group who might see the problem, and begin quickly to resolve it? I'm lost there. May be too late.
