Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) will host a seminar, “Positive Parenting in a Negative World,” taught by Dr. Dana Spears at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. The cost is $10 per mom.

Childcare is available with pre-registration only. Deadline for registration is Friday, Jan. 27.

Spears earned a Ph.D. in child and family development from the University of Georgia. She co-authored the book, “Strong-willed Child or Dreamer?” with Dr. Ron Braund. She is a frequent radio guest of Marriage and Family Today on WAFS, Atlanta, and has appeared on television and radio around the country. She and her husband, Phillip, have three children, Anna Kate, Maggie, and Benjamin.
