Mary Elizabeth Atkins, 93, Fayetteville, died May 11, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Atkins, a son, Ed Atkins, and grandchildren, Cliff and James Baker. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Joel Stewart and Pastor Kenneth Rainwater officiating. Interment was at Ellison and Fortson Cemetery, Clayton County, near Woolsey. Survivors include daughters, Consobrina Elizabeth Harrington, Greenville, Fla., and June and Calvin Baker, Hampton; great-grandchildren, Megan Baker, and Alex Evans; a special niece, Shirley "Bug" and Junior Morgan; a great-nephew, Wesley Morgan; and great-nieces, Anita Brannon, and Geraldine Knowles. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
