Linda Connelly, Special Assistant to the Fair Housing Equal Opportunity Regional Director, presented the Peachtree City office of New South Federal with the 2007 Fair Lending Leader Award. Joy Millard, Peachtree City area manager, accepted the award. The luncheon was held April 9 at Flat Creek Country Club. Special guest speakers included David Larson, president and CEO of New South Federal, New South Federal Chairman of the Board Will Ratliff and Connelly. This award is to recognize that out all of New South's offices, from Newport News to Las Vegas, Peachtree City achieved the best match when comparing residential mortgage loans closed, to the demographics of the lending area. Due to the hard work of Joy Millard and her team of loan officers, people who never thought they had the credit or ability to become homeowners are now fulfilling their dream of homeownership. New South Federal is headquartered in Birmingham, Ala. It is one of the largest thrifts in Alabama and operates loan offices throughout the southeastern and western United States. The company's operations involve various types of lending and deposit products including residential, automobile installment, residential construction and development lending, certificates of deposit and money market accounts. login to post comments |
