Fayette Senior Services will host a Lunch & Learn session entitled: “Let’s Talk About This, Now!” “This” refers to the tough quality of life and end-of-life decisions that are often difficult to discuss with spouses or family members. The session offers a sensible guide to help you become knowledgeable about properly expressing your wishes regarding advance medical directives, wills, trusts and power of attorney.

The session will feature Mary Lynn Kirby of the Fayette Law Group, who will present the “Personal Legacy Statement,” a practical and caring way for you talk with family about important hard-to-face issues before it’s too late. The program is designed to help families understand that there are many questions that need to be answered before a crisis occurs and in a way that is compliant with Georgia’s new state laws, which became effective July 1, 2007.

Two sessions are available on Monday, May 19 at Fayette Senior Services Life Enrichment Center located at 4 Center Drive in Fayetteville (across from the Fayette County Justice Center). The first session will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $5 and includes lunch. The second session will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $5 and includes light refreshments. Registration is available at Fayette Senior Services. The registration deadline is May 15 and fees must be paid at the time of registration.
