Hopewell’s Chicken-Q is tomorrow, Friday
Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone will hold its annual Chicken-Que Saturday, May 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost of the meal is $7.50 and includes half a barbecued chicken, potato salad, baked beans, bread, beverage, and a cookie. Brooks UMC open house is tomorrow

Hopewell UMC plans yard sale Saturday
Hopewell UMC in Tyrone will have a yard sale Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. to benefit Youth Missions. The sale will be held rain or shine. All proceeds will go to support the church youth group’s Puerto Rico mission trip and River of Life mission event this summer. The church is across the street from Sandy Creek High School on Jenkins Road in Tyrone.

Free benefit singing set for May 17 in Fayetteville
Spring Hill Elementary School in Fayetteville will host a free benefit singing on May 17 at 6 p.m. featuring various local singers and music to please everyone — Southern gospel, contemporary, praise and worship. An offering will be taken and concessions will be sold. Proceeds will benefit the building fund for the Church of Life in Newnan.

FFUMC women plan ‘tea party’ May 17
Fayetteville First United Methodist Church invites all ladies, high school and up, to a tea party on Saturday, May 17, from 2-4 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. “Treasured by God” will present inspirational speaker Sherri Dodd, desserts and tea for all. Moreland’s Emmanuel Baptist to host gospel sing

Women’s conference planned in Riverdale
Registration is now open for the “Just Shall Live By Faith,” a free women’s conference hosted by Total Victory International Ministries from May 21-23. The conference will be held at 1280 Ga. Hwy. 138, Riverdale, begins Wednesday, May 21, at 7 p.m. and concludes Friday, May 23. Keynote speakers will be Pastor Eboni M. Davis, Total Victory Int’l Ministries, and Dr. Ann Jones, Church of the Harvest, Fayetteville. The Friday night service will include a special session for personal prophecy. Greater St. Peter Christian Academy now enrolling
Greater St Peter Christian Academy (GSPCA) is now enrolling for the 2008-2009 school year. Classes are available for for children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years of age (kindergarten).
