K. M. "Bud" Peters, 82, Newnan, died May 2, 2008. He was born March 19, 1926 in Columbus, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hardy and Mabel Smith Peters. He served in the United States Navy in World War II. He was a Mason for over 50 years. He was associated with Georgia Power for over 60 years. Graveside services were at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan, with the Rev. Dr. Bob Martin officiating. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Barbara Trapp Peters, Newnan; and a daughter, Denise Peters Bray, Newnan. Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 135 Bradford, Ste.
