Recycling center open today, tomorrow; path cleanup urged

Peachtree City’s annual Spring Cleanup is this weekend, and the city’s recycling center will be in full swing, accepting many types of items that normally aren’t.

The only things that won’t be accepted are old tires and batteries. Also, refrigerators must have their freon removed along with a certificate of removal and old lawn mowers and power equipment must have all the gas and oil removed.

The recycling center will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days in an effort to help those who are in the “spring cleaning” mood. The normal hours of operation are Wednesdays from 1:30-4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Volunteers are also asked to clean up the cart paths and other areas in the city.

The Recycling Center accepts:
