Members of the Tuskegee Airmen were among the many knowledgeable folks on hand to answer historical war questions at the WWII Heritage Days hosted last weekend by the Commemorative Air Force. The Tuskegee Airmen were the first black pilots in the military, at a time, their website notes, “when many people thought that black men lacked intelligence, skill, courage and patriotism. A number of restored authentic equipment such as jeeps and tents were on display along with replica weaponry and performances of WWII era music.
