James Arnold, Decatur, formerly of Newnan, died April 12, 2008. He was born Oct. 16, 1916 in Newnan. He was preceded in death by his a daughter, Annie Zackery, five siblings, and a grandson, James Arthur Turner. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon First Baptist Church. He had served in the United States Army from 1943 to 1949. He received the American Campaign Medal and the Victory Medal in World War II. He was employed as an orderly at Coweta General Hospital. Services were at Roscoe Jenkins chapel with interment at Eastview Cemetery. Survivors include a special friend of 36 years, Adella Hurston; grandchildren, Sylvia and Kenneth Campbell, Randy and Teresa Arnold, and James Carlton Turner; 8 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Tiffany Houston and Benny King. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. login to post comments |
