Tommie Villarreal Ruiz, 87, Fayetteville, died April 24, 2008. She was born Aug. 20, 1920 in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by son, William Joseph Ruiz. Funeral liturgy was at Saint Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Jonesboro, with the Rev. Father Mark Thomas, celebrant. Survivors include children, Kathleen Himbert, and Carolina Jordan and Fred Allen, all of Fayetteville, Yolanda and Richard Jacob, New Orleans, Guadalupe Ubas, Gretna, La., Rosaleen and Bert Engeron, Elberta, Ala., Vidal V. Ruiz, San Antonio, Texas, Andrew Michael Ruiz, Harahan, La., and Elizabeth Ann Ruiz, Palmetto; sisters, Esperanza Zorola, and Isabel Palacios, both of San Antonio, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
