National Day of Prayer, Prayer Walk set for May 1
Fayette County will observe the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 1, with a daytime prayer walk and evening worship celebration beginning at 7 p.m. at the Villages Amphitheater in Fayetteville. Leading the praise and worship will be Operation Mobilization’s Bill Drake Band. Prayer Walk brochures are free to those who are interested. Fayetteville Christian’s yard sale is Friday, Saturday
Fayetteville Christian Church will have its annual yard sale sponsored by the church’s Global Outreach Ministry Friday and Saturday, May 2 and 3 from 7:30 a.m. until noon. Ladies Day planned at PTC Church of Christ
Janie Craun, the editor of Christian Woman Magazine, will speak on “Growing Up Into Christ” Saturday, May 3, at the Peachtree City Church of Christ. Ladies will explore how they can plant seeds of faith in children’s hearts and develop spiritual maturity in women. The event begins at 9 a.m. with registration and will conclude with lunch at noon. Brooks UMC plans ‘morning out’program
Brooks United Methodist Church Parent’s Morning Out Program is now registering for the 2008-2009 school year. The church offers nurturing, educational, Christian-based classes for children ages six weeks through four years. FFUMC women plan ‘tea party’ May 17
Fayetteville First United Methodist Church invites all ladies, high school and up, to a tea party on Saturday, May 17, from 2-4 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. “Treasured by God” will present inspirational speaker Sherri Dodd, desserts and tea for all. Tickets are $12 each until May 7. Doors open at 1:30 for “china exhibition and seat selection.” Also, childcare is available, reservations required. CDM to host Prophetic Soldiers Revival
