Whitewater’s Nick Ward has done it again

Ward defended his Region 2-AAAA low medalist title last week at Canongate golf course. Ward won his second low medalist title by shooting 74 on the Lee course at Canongate. He shot 1 under par on the last four holes to come from behind and nudge out Starr’s Mill Peter Cummings and Northgate’s Zac Crow, who both finished with a 75, and Woodward academy's Walker Sullivan, who finished with a 76.

“Nick was in a fight the entire round, and when the match was close at the end, he finished the last four holes 1 under par to win,” Whitewater gold coach Wes Hardin said.

Ward will compete at the state tournament in Augusta on May 5th.
