Indoor facility can improve one’s game

These days, there seem to be almost as many game-improving strategies for golfers as there are fad diets. And just like fad diets, they promise quick results with minimal effort, although ultimately you’ll just end up back where you started, a few pounds heavier, a few strokes over par.

Hawking everything from special clubs to even copper necklaces sworn to improve your game, the gimmicks are endless. Yet there is only one thing that has been proven to truly work – practice, practice, practice.

This is where Accelerized Golf comes in. Peachtree City’s only indoor golf instruction and practice facility is designed to help golfers find and perfect that elusive perfect swing. Here, a golfer’s swing is captured by a computerized instruction bay, featuring a six camera video system.

Once a student takes their introductory lesson, their swing and instruction profile are captured by this system. Owner Mark Lemons explains how the concept works.

“Any time the student returns to practice, they will practice exactly what they learned with their professional instructor, even if the instructor isn’t there,” Lemons said. This idea is known as “Perfect Practice.” Making it even more perfect is the fact that the climate controlled environment of Accelerized Golf makes practicing much more enjoyable.

“We don’t approach golf instruction by using the latest gadgets for sale on infomercials professing to cure your golf swing woes in five minutes, or in only six swings, or by using some new club for three easy payments of $39.95,” Lemons continued. “We provide professional instruction on a one-on-one basis that works.”

Part of this instruction includes the use of Hotlines ™ technology, which forces the student to correct swing flaws or the golf ball literally drops out of the way. Hot Lines™ are invisible boundaries around the body and golf club that the golfer must stay within. Hit a Hot Line™ and the ball will actually disappear. This means the difference between truly feeling a difficult swing change and making it permanent or being stuck with the same inconsistent motion many golfers can’t change.

For those golfers serious about improving their game, Lemon recommends signing up for Accelerized Golf’s Total Game Improvement Package. It includes nine and one half hours of instruction and unlimited practice sessions.

“This package has proven to be incredibly successful in making dramatic and sustained improvements for golfers of all abilities,” he said. “In fact, the Accelerized Golf instruction and training method is currently used by top PGA of America, Nationwide, LPGA and European players.”

The success of a training method that provides immediate and dramatic feedback is shown in its students, one who reduced his handicap by eight strokes and shot a 39 for nine holes for the first time in his life. Another student cut 20 strokes off of his score after only three visits and took home the first place prize for his age group in a local tournament.

“Basically, if you play, we can help you improve,” Lemon said.

If you are still curious about how the Accelerized Golf method works, stop by the indoor practice facility off Kelly Drive in Peachtree City. Walking through the spacious reception area, you will see a 30-foot putting green surrounded by the four computerized instructions bays, each with video camera systems. To the rear is the short game instruction area, 15 yards deep, featuring an elevated green, sand trap and multiple hitting surfaces, including fairway cut, rough and deep rough.

If you are still yearning to actually get outside to play, Accelerized Golf offers the “take it to the course” service, where one of the teaching staff will go to the golf course with you while you play nine holes. Just like the indoor practice facility, many of the shots will be video taped for later analysis.

A golfer since the age of 10, owner Mark Lemon has a passion for the game and a passion for offering the very best there is in golf instruction. “We at Accelerized Golf are truly dedicated to improving not only your swing and scores, but also your enjoyment of the game,” he said.
