The Sandy Creek Patriots varsity boys soccer team advanced to the second round of the Class AAA state playoffs with a 2-1 win over Apalachee.

The Patriots got goals from Garrett Harper and Harry Lee and had a tremendous defensive effort from the entire team to preserve the win.

Sandy Creek will play at Flowery Branch on Tuesday for a shot to make the Class AAA quarterfinals.
