Ralph Edward Jackson, 88, Newnan, died April 17,2008. He was born Oct. 28, 1919 in the St. Charles community. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ishmael and Myrtle Kate Brock Jackson, and siblings, Leroy Jackson, Doris Head, and Frances Reid. He was retired from Sewell Plastics in Atlanta. He enjoyed traveling with family members who operated Collins Transport and Courier Service and he and his wife were always ready to go.

Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Jeff Hines officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Earlene Hall Jackson, Newnan; children, Louise Duncan, Joe Jackson, and Judy Johnson; grandchildren, Tommy Collins, Tina White, Katie Bates, Will Jackson, and Lisa March; a sister-in-law, Faye Jackson; and 11 great-grandchildren.

McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
