From my perspective the Palestinians are on the “short end of the stick”. I say that not belligerently but realizing they have very few options available to them. I can go into details but, I strongly suspect you are very familiar with them. BTW, I did read your dad’s book.

I’m curious that you did not mention the control that Pro Israeli lobby has on our elected officials. I know Bush - 41 attempted to executively steer US policy rather than have one which handicaps it. He paid dearly for that one didn’t he. I suspect it will be difficult, politically, for any president or senator to be on the “other side” of that lobby. That unfortunately is the politically reality that we have today. And we both know how that pressure plays out in the Knesset.

Whatever happens regarding Palestinian statehood I suspect there will always be a symbiotic relationship between the two peoples. They are tethered together and fighting each other.
