• Frederick awarded scholarship
Erica Frederick, of Peachtree City, Ga., has been awarded the Jane White Memorial Marketing Scholarship by the College of Business Administration of Georgia Southern University. This scholarship is awarded for academic excellence in the field of marketing. Frederick is a 2005 graduate of Starr's Mill High School and is a marketing major with an emphasis on sales and sales management. She has been on the president's list for the last five semesters, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She is the daughter of Mark and Cindy Frederick.

• Brettin named president at LSU
Brittney Brettin, Louisiana State University junior and Fayette County native, has been named president of Order of Omega's LSU Chapter. Order of Omega is a national leadership honor society specifically for Greek students. Brettin also serves as LSU's Panhellenic Council Vice-President. Brettin is a 2005 graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Ga.

• Fulton donates locks
Emma Fulton, 9, recently donated nine inches of her hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, an organization that makes free wigs for cancer patients. Fulton is the daughter of Geoff and Karin Fulton of Fayetteville.
