Dorothy Anne Hester Tripp, 79, Morro Bay, Calif., formerly of Fayetteville, died Feb. 13, 2008. She was born in 1929 in Bogart, Ga., one of eight children. She was graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Horticulture. While at the university, she met and married the late Earl N. Hester. He died in 1998. They sold azaleas and wholesale nursery plants and supplies in Fayetteville for over 20 years. After his death, she moved to California. Services were at the El Morro Church of the Nazarene in Los Osos, Calif. Her ashes were scattered at sea. Survivors include her husband, Gene Tripp, whom she married in 2003; sons Nolan Hester, Los Angeles, Neil Hester, Berkeley; a daughter, Jean Hester, Los Angeles; a brother, Doug, of Kentucky; and sisters, Joyce Amsler, Eleanore Griffith, and Betty Lent, all of Georgia.
