On January 26, the Bennett’s Mill Middle School wrestling team participated in the Middle School wrestling tournament at Fayette Middle School. Only two Bennett’s Mill wrestlers had ever wrestled prior to this past season, yet the team was able to take home one first place and two second place medals. Daniel Ward, an eighth grader at Bennett's Mill and the county champion last year for his weight class, won the championship this year in the 90 lb. weight class. Nick Martin, also an eighth grader, received a second place medal for the 120 lb. weight class. Chris Williams, a seventh grader, placed second in the county for the 147 lb. weight class.
