Frank Wren, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Atlanta Braves, was the guest speaker at a recent breakfast with the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City. He spoke about his 30+ years in baseball, culminating with his present position. Born in Ohio and raised in Florida, Wren detailed his past associations with various clubs, including winning the 1997 World Series while Vice President with the Florida Marlins. He then spoke optimistically about the Braves’ chances this year. The pitching staff is the best it has been in several years. They are also very encouraged with the play of several young newcomers to the club. And, of course, Chipper Jones is having a great year! Wren and his family are residents of Peachtree City.
