The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Fayette County Development Authority will hold a Peachtree City Stormwater Utility update meeting Friday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. at Cooper Lighting in Peachtree City. Representatives from Peachtree City and the consulting firm on this project, Integrated Science and Engineering, will present an overview of the proposed utility and credits available to Peachtree City businesses.

New state and federal regulations require local governments to address stormwater runoff and associated water quality issues. In addition, the aging drainage infrastructure and ongoing flooding problems in some areas of Peachtree City have spurred the city to develop a more comprehensive stormwater management program.

This informative meeting is open to all local businesses and will give attendees an opportunity to learn more about the proposed Stormwater Utility and ask questions regarding available credits. Those wishing to attend should RSVP to the Chamber at 770-461-9983 or e-mail info@FayetteChamber.org.

The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce is an association of businesses and organizations that work together to promote economic prosperity and to enhance excellent quality of life through strong leadership, networking, education and a variety of programs that encourage partnerships between businesses and our community.
