Ruby Alice Strickland Thomas, 87, Luthersville, died April 7, 2008. She was born Sept. 23, 1920 in Meriwether County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elonza Floyd and Ruby Alice Whitten Strickland, and her husband, William A. Thomas.

Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Winston Skinner and the Rev. Billy Burks officiating. Interment was at Luthersville City Cemetery. Survivors include daughters, Margie Thomas McCoy, Luthersville, and Martha Thomas Sweat, Lawrenceville; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
