Fayetteville DAR Receives Honors at DAR State Conference

The James Waldrop Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution in Fayetteviile was honored to receive several awards from the GA Society NSDAR 110th State Conference for 2007 activities recently. Among the awards presented to the chapter are: 1st Place- American History Publicity:

1st Place- DAR Community Service Award: 1st Place- Most New Members by Application: 26-50 members: 2nd Place- Outstanding Contribution to Hindman Settlement School: Certificate of Award- Outstanding Constitution Week Activities, Membership 20-44: Certificate of Award- Women in American History Project: State Honor Roll: and the Hightower Award.

Several other certificates of appreciation were also presented to the chapter. Regent Betty Harrah remarked, "I am very proud of our members who volunteer their time and efforts to support the goals of the DAR." The DAR is the world's largest women's service organization.
