Anthony Burger, nationally known pianist and entertainer, will present a free concert at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church Sunday, Jan. 15 at 6 p.m in the Ministry Center.

“Anthony has been a major participant at our Peach State Conference, which is an annual meeting for senior adults from across Georgia and around the South,” said the Rev. Glenn Stringham, pastor to senior adults at First Baptist. “He is a very personable entertainer and is always willing to spend time with those who attend his performances.”

Stringham added that while Burger is a non-vocal musician, his magical piano talents paint an unmistakable picture of the gospel and people who hear him say lyrics are not necessary to express the gospel message.

Burger has performed for President Jimmy Carter, in the Sydney Opera House, in London, in Carnegie Hall and on many television shows.

Through the years, Burger has captured awards from various organizations and institutions, bestowing on him various Musician of the Year and Instrumentalist of the Year awards. People’s Choice twice named him Musician of the Year and the Diamond Awards presented him as Instrumentalist of the Year.

All in the community are invited to attend the concert.

First Baptist is on Stonewall Avenue (Ga. Hwy. 54 East), about a block from the Fayette County Courthouse.
