Seventeen major corporationstoday will file a lawsuit against the federal government for allowing the corporation's employees to violate everything from safety laws to criminal negligence. The CEO's contend that if a law is on the books then it is the duty of the government to enforce that law. The corporations contend that it is so hard to make a buck anymore, and at the same time watch out for crooks, that they must assume that the government is watching for fraud. It is the duty of a good CEO to stretch all laws as far as is possible, if by so doing a few more bucks are made. There is no way that one CEO can know what everyone is doing all of the time! If airplane wires are found unsecured, frames are cracking, some maintenance is overdue, then the government must continue to remind the airline of the problem. It has been discovered that some things can be put off for years by shuffling paperwork, cooperating together, and making more and more jobs in the process! The very idea that corporations will diligently protect the public according to rules that should never have been written to begin with, is ridiculous! It seems to me that if the chicken and beef inspectors can look at and approve a zillion of each a day, and that they are all cleared of mad cow and e-coli, then a few airplanes should be no problem! Don't hold corporate individuals responsible, inspect in that quality at the end of the line! sageadvice's blog | login to post comments |
