Peachtree City residents Chris and Jeff Turner “Work Hard” to remind us to “REST EASY!” Their company, Rest EZ Teez, LLC is the result of a journey that started on a beach in the Caribbean. From the Caribbean to Fayette County, their plan to produce high quality, tastefully adorned t-shirts is about to bear fruit. The Turner’s fulfilled their first order of shirts with Fayetteville’s Smith & Davis Clothing last month.

While recuperating from the first of two back surgeries in 2003, Jeff was forced to relax for the first time in a long while. While visiting St. Thomas, he mentioned to his wife Chris that “this doing nothing is underrated!” The slogan “Doing Nothing… is Underrated!” became a salutation among friends until last summer when the couple was encouraged to try marketing their message of rest on t-shirts.

Borne from their original tagline, the Turner’s have come up with some clever artwork to help promote the once coveted need to rest. The first scenes printed vary from beaches “In Paradise” to comical pool, golf and fishing themes. Each shirt features one or both of two lovable animated dogs, Buster and Buddy, that act out the various scenes. The art is printed on 100% soft cotton t-shirts that have a “relaxed” fit. The shirts are also adorned with decorative hangtags that feature the lovable pooches and a little bit about the mission of Rest EZ Teez.

“Doing Nothing” isn’t about being lazy! It’s about rest and rejuvenation! At Rest EZ Teez we’re all about rest!” one tag begins. The Turner’s aren’t resting just yet. They’ve placed their shirts in stores in Fayette and Coweta County and are planning to distribute it throughout the southeastern United States by this summer. “Only God knows where this project will go! We absolutely love our product and the process has been a blast! We hope and pray the savvy shopper will recognize the quality and value of the garment, it’s fun artwork as well as the message that we all need to take time from our hectic lives to rest!”
