Kara Elizabeth Stone and Christopher Roche were married in an outside ceremony at Southern Oak, the home of the bride’s parents, on Saturday, October 13, 2007. The Reverends Hugh Kirby and John Tarrant conducted the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Stone of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Evelyn DeVries of Grand Rapids, Mich, Joanie Worrell and the late Bud Worrell of Indianapolis, Ind., and Bernice Stone and the late Donald Stone of Grand Rapids, Mich.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Roche of Cumming. He is the grandson of Catherine Roche of Fort Lee, N.J. and the late Arthur Roche, and Mavis Ness of Argyle, Minn. and the late Ernie Ness.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a strapless Christina Wu gown of white lace over silver sage satin. She carried a bouquet of orange, red, and green fall flowers and foliage.

Nicole Anne Stone, of Athens, Ga., served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Bartley of Charlotte, N.C., Ashley Buchanan of Athens, Allison Clark of Fayetteville, Ashlee Emerson of Smyrna, Jennifer Morgan of Marietta, Andrea Roche of Decatur, Georgia Roy of Atlanta, and Kori Young of Sharpsburg.

Terry Roche of Smyrna, brother of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Dan Emaelaf of Atlanta, Ryan Forsthof of New York, N.Y., Cory McCallum of Atlanta, Matt McCarthy of Roswell, Nick Seidell of Woodstock, Chris Shadburn of Roswell, Rick Silvestrini of San Francisco, Calif., and Jordan Stone of Fayetteville.

The flower girl was Kathryn Morgan of Marietta and the ring bearer was John Sams of Fayetteville.

An outdoor reception, also at Southern Oak, followed the ceremony.

The couple honeymooned in Aruba and now resides in Smyrna.
