The Coweta County Chapter of American Red Cross needs your help. The organization’s fourth annual HEROES fundraising campaign has a goal of $75,000. The effort will run April 27 through May 19 to help support ongoing disaster relief and health and safety programs for local residents.

“The HEROES campaign is a grassroots community based program that allows individuals, business people, school groups, church groups and civic clubs to impact our community by raising money to support the Coweta County Chapter of the American Red Cross,” said campaign coordinator Sheila Ross.

Ross said the HEROES program is open to everyone, adding that individuals, businesses and corporate sponsors can participate by raising funds or making donations. Red Cross hopes that individual HEROES can raise $1,000 during the campaign period.

A kick-off luncheon will be held April 28 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Special Event Center located at 299 Bullsboro Drive in Newnan. A closing celebration luncheon will be held May 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the same location.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals as well as our business and corporate community to come together to help, in some way, the victims of local house fires and much needed health and safety programs for our county,” Davis said. “Our community is made up of big hearted, hard working individuals and business leaders. We are very proud of the ongoing generosity of our county residents.”

The Coweta County Chapter of American Red Cross is located at 770 Greison Trail, Suite G, Newnan, Georgia.
