At a called meeting last week, the Coweta County Board of Education approved Monica Hughes, left, as the new principal of Arnco-Sargent Elementary School, and Denise Pigatt, center, as the new principal of Western Elementary School, both beginning in the new school year July 1. Pigatt will replace Western Principal Michael Cutchen, right, when he retires at the end of this school year. Hughes will replace Arnco-Sargent Principal Karen Barker this summer, when she officially becomes the school system’s new Director of Elementary Education.
