The City of Newnan Fire Department will be participating in Ashley Park’s Spring Celebration on March 29. Some of Newnan’s Firefighters will be out at Ashley Park showing off a city fire truck and handing out burn awareness materials to citizens.

“Burn awareness is important to our community. We want to let the public know about the misuses of flammable materials. This is what the Newnan Fire Department is here for. We want to teach our citizens the hazards so that lives may be saved in the future,” said Newnan Fire Chief David Whitley.

The Ashley Park Spring Celebration will include fashion shows, fun, games, carriage rides and face painting for the kids. The event is from 12-6 p.m. There will be live performances from TG Sheppard, The Wrights, Chuck Wicks and more. All food sales proceeds will be donated to various local charities.
