The Fayette Benevolent Society (FBS) invites all departments of public safety employees in Fayette County to attend a lunch social on Friday, March 28 from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. at the Historic Train Depot & Welcome Center. Reverend Derek Porter of Brooks First United Methodist Church will kick off the awareness campaign program at noon. Lunch is provided by My Chef Nancy and Pacific General Financial. “The FBS is seeking to enhance the quality of life and needs of public safety members,” said Captain Mitch Warren, officer and Fayette County firefighter. “The lunch social is designed for attendees to discover the benefits of the program and raise awareness of the society. We hope public safety employees will be able to drop-by during the day to hear what we’re all about and how we can benefit them.” The Fayette Benevolent Society was founded in 2005 and has more than 144 members. It is a self-funded, member-driven society. The first annual FBS Golf Tournament fund-raiser will be held at Fayetteville Golf Club on Wednesday, May 7 at 12 p.m. For more information about FBS, please contact Captain Mitch Warren at 678-794-0635. The Historic Train Depot & Welcome Center is located at 250 Lanier Avenue West, Fayetteville, Ga. login to post comments |
